Possible valve rattle?
I have a 2001 vette with 45,000 miles on it. Do the required maintenence on it. I use shell 93 always and I just noticed when I give it gas I hear a valve rattling or floating. I do not have any engine noise at idle or at any other time. Do I need engine work or fuel injector cleaner? any suggestions would be helpful! This forum rocks and has saved me many a dollar. When I have a problem, I come check here and 9 times out of 10 someone has had the same problem and the answer is right here............

Well... LS1's are noisy little buggers to begin with. When you install headers, you can hear all kinds of valve train noise you couldn't before, so it is some what normal.
On the other hand, if it's bad enough, you should have it checked...

try a can of octane booster and see if it goes away .
I found octane booster at the dollar store, a whole case of it there. buck a can !!!!
P.S. it had a recent mfg. date too
