Default [Electrical] ODD Issues Abound, Please HELP!

Long time no see

A few weeks back I removed my power antenna so I could install a shorty (which I haven't gotten around to yet).

There seemed to be 2 "ground straps" attached to the antenna housing, so I whipped out the old dremmel, cut off the main housing, then re-attched the straps to the left-over piece.

I don't know how it can be related but shortly thereafter I started getting active handling and abs service messages.

Those stopped, then a few days later, I started getting low tire pressure alerts, I have CCWs and don't even have the sensors installed

Then yesterday on the way home, I got "reduced power" and "service vehicle soon" messages, and at the same time, the analog oil pressure gauge dropped to "0" while the coolant temperature gauge pegged high.

The car actually seems to be running correctly but popping up random and inane electrical messages, which are driving me insane!

Does anyone have any insight, where to start troubleshooting? What the HELL is going on?

Guess I should read the "stickies" after being gone for a year, eh?

Suppose I have some ground cleaning to do....

Make sure your battery is ok also. Not just the connections on it but have it tested.

Weird gauge cluster and electrical issues can also be related to a wet or corroded BCM. I had the dreded HVAC drain clog in my 98 and had every light, alarm and electrical problem known to man! Once the BCM dried out, everything returned to normal. After a while (didnt know what was causing the problem until many months later) the back of the circuit board for the BCM corroded and caused other random issues!

I cleaned the corrosion off the board and fixed that isssue Yes the BCM can and will give you weird TPS issues and warnings!!

What did you use to clean the BCM? You talking in the foot well of the pass side?

Once you remove the circuit board from the box, use a stiff nylon bristel brush and some alcohol OR some brake parts cleaner. scrub it and flush it. reinstall it and you should be good to go! You need to resolve the reason why your BCM is getting wet!!!
