Viper Eater?
Seriously guys it’s not really a Viper eater. Joe from the C-3 board here. A while back I posted some pics of this killer 2000 C-5 hybrid that my good friend Pat built in his garage along with the 582 cid BBC. Well after a few getting to know you testing sessions this beast ran a 7.36 at 186 with a 1.103 sixty foot time. This was at 2510 lbs and mufflers. The car has already made the National Dragster as a promo car in the ad from Sun Coast Racecars. Not to bad for a home built car with a home built motor.

Pat said that he was truly scared on the pass. A 1.103 sixty-foot time equates to over 3 g’s with a speed of 74 mph at 60 feet. 0-74 in 1.103 seconds, no thanks! The thing made about 1265 rear wheel hp on the pass. The whole combo: chassis, welding, paint, wiring and motor building (less the machining) was all done out of his 2 car garage. This is the ultimate woodchuck racing team.
