Default steering wheel prob=no more spedo?

somehow i got my steering rack spun 180 degrees while i was working on it. when i put everything back together. the wheels were straight but the steering wheel is upside down..this is not a good thing. when i went to fix this problem...it threw some codes and when i reset them, the spedo guage quit working..its pegged past the 200 mph mark, and will not move...can this problem be fixed or is this a job for the stealership?

Your steering wheel has a position sensor attached to it right where the steering shaft goes through the fire wall. The sensor needs to be at ZERO when the wheels are straight or you will get codes. I would work on getting that issue fixed and then see what dtc remain.

The wheel can't just look like it is in the correct position. If you rotated the wheel in a complete circle (360 degrees) from the original position you would get a steering sensor error. The wheel has to be in the correct position based on the sensor's reading. So if the wheel is upside down and just 180 degrees out you need to rotate it in the correct direction to get back to 0 degrees and not 360 degrees.
