Default Seat Problem

For the past 3 months the drivers side power seat would only work if I raised my butt off the seat. Yeasterday I had both seats recovered... now the seat travel won't operate at all. Is there a sensor in the seat? Is there something more than a possible broken wire?

Any help would be appriciated.

There is no seat sensor....
You have an issue with the harness routing, or a failure of the harness itself or the switch that controls the seat.

Your best bet is to remove the seat and examine all of the wiring and the connectors on the under side of the seat. The seat is very close to the floor and often the wires and connectors get damaged From running over stuff that ends up on the floor of the car. There have been lots of people who have had wires that are pulled out of the backs of the connectors, loose connectors and some with corroded connectors.

When you get that seat out and check for the problem, email me (through profile) if you find the problem to be a broken white clevis rod for the rear lift motor. Good luck.
