Make special note of the 162 lbft torque on the rear mounting bolt. The average home game version torque wrench only goes to 150. Try to get the car as far off the ground as possible so you can get a good solid pull on the torque wrench using both hands.
get the correct tool for the front shock upper mount, Snap-on or Napa sells the socket/kit to hold the oval end of the shaft
I think it's a 15/32", try finding one of those in anything but a dist. wrench
unless the car is a few years old, those threads seem to rust like it's their job
I have a little trick I use that seems to work pretty well for taking off the upper mounts. Take some cutters and cut away the dust cover on the old shock (assuming you are throwing them away). Then clamp down right on the shaft of the shock as tight as you can with a pair of vice grips. Then just use a socket to take the nut off the top.
