After putting in a transgo shift kit, deep pan, and billet servos, I get a terrible noise now. It starts at around 3000 rpm and gets louder as the rpm goes up. I'm not 100% sure it's the tranny, but it sounds like it may be. It sounds like as if something is rubbing inside and about to explode, but I didn't mess with any of the rotating parts. Has anyone else experienced this. The tranny shifts great, and tranny temp doesn't get over 170's. But it sounds like crap. Kind of like super loose solid lifters. Unless it's those Yella Terra rocker arms I installed.
Not sure if this helps but with deep-pans it is common for the exhaust to rub/hit one side of the pan resulting in a vibration and or noise transfer, other than that I would make certain that the filter extension tube (if it has one) and filter haven`t worked loose and dropped to the bottom of the pan. BTW my pan is a B&M.
There is no filter extension with this pan. It has some bosses extending up from the bottom to support the stock filter. I checked the fluid level again just to make sure it wasn't low, and it's full. But I didn't replace the rubber grommet that the filter slides into. But it was a very snug fit. If it was sucking air, I would think my tranny would be slipping and running hot. It shifts fine and runs about 170°

If your not getting any rub from the exhaust then I`d look elsewhere!
I have plenty of clearance between the exhaust and the tranny.
I am wondering if it's the Fairbanks Billet Super Servo (2nd) I have installed, along with the billet 4th. The second does away with a spring on the back side of the servo. So I am wondering if I am hearing the billets pieces slapping against each other?
Seems to be more of a rpm factor. At idle and just cruising at low rpm I don't hear anything. I need to pay more closer attention to see if it's different in each gear, but first gear after 3000 rpm you hear it, and it gets louder as the rpm climbs. Load doesn't seem to effect any difference. I don't know how the tranny works in function, as far as when there is pressure on the band, and when there isnt. But that second gear servo piston works the band.
