Haven't seen anything posted about this (although I might have just misssed it). But has anybody else had problems with wheel cracks like my '01 has? The cracks are at the intersection of the center spider and the outer wheel rim.

Did you buy your car at a stealership? If you did and it's been a reasonable amount of time since you bought it, talk to the owner and plead your case. I did this and they didn't even put up a fight since this is extremely dangerous to drive it like that. Any reasonable dealer would replace with a non cracked wheel.
No, I'm sure it's "out of the loop" by now. It's funny, but as much as I love the thin spokes, I was thinking about going with another set of wheels anyway. I'll locate one good thin spoke, keep this set and run with the replacements on the car. Then I'll strip and polish ( better ) the original set. I'll just do it sooner than I expected to!
Mine started cracking around the entire circumference of the wheel, just inside of the spokes. I discovered it when the tire started losing air and I couldn't find the leak.
Any problems with 04's? I have what I assume is the beginning of a small crack, but not like any pics posted so far. Mine is away from the tire, closer to the lug nut area of the spoke, again on the drivers rear. My 04 was an early build, 11-03 if that matters. I will admit it almost looks like a small curb rash to me, but as far as I know nothing was ever hit, and how could there be something so small in towards the center of the wheel anyway?
There is some government entity that keeps records of complaints and has the power to order manufacturers to make recalls. If anyone has the 800 number it should be posted.
Also, GM should be contacted in every case and get a case number for the complaint. This problem is serious and will only get worse as the wheels age.
