drill through it and use big easyout. Keep vacuum to suck drilling material from going in the diff. Just my guess on a solution. May be make flat plate 1/8" steel stock used like a big screw driver blade and tap it in on a diagonal then turn with a big adjustable.
Sears sells a socket set that has a cutting helical edge on the inside to bite into a rounded bolt. Not sure what they are officially called. In the 'old" days you could use a file to create a slot in the head and use a large screwdriver to help turn it with a box wrench shoved onto the stripped head. Finally a little liquid wrench on the bolt might help loosen it since it sounds like it is "tight"
