Default Z06 Spring #'s: Need some help...

I recently purchased front & rear springs from an 03 Z and the #'s on the springs don't match the typical FE4 #'s,

My front 22171750
My rear 22188078

Typical numbers for z06 springs are,

- Z06 Front spring: 22178729
- Z06 Rear spring: 22188038

In fact they don't match any spring numbers. Does anybody have an idea as to referencing these to see if they are indeed z06? I believe they are, but I'm curious.
Regards,
Mike

I know that the current part numbers for the Z06 springs are different.
I found this out when I tried to get prices at GMpartsdirect. The old part numbers wouldn't come up because GM changed the numbers.

I'll try to find the before and after numbers.

From my 02 parts CD:

22171750 - ???
22188078 - ???

22178729 - FE3, FE4
22188038 - M12, FE4

The top numbers don't show up on Fred Beans either. I did some searching, the rear number you are using appears to be the Liteflex part number (vendor) and is from a FE3, not FE4.

I purchased a rear Z06 spring from Fred Beans. The part number was 22188038. Since you guys say that you can't find it at Beans' website I checked www.gmpartsdirect.com - found it there.

Chip,

Is that the GM part number? It almost sounds like the vendor has his own numbers molded into the spring and then GM puts their own number on it as well.

Yes, it was the GM part number. I originally found the number on a CF post, then checked Beans and GM parts direct. Once you factored in shipping Beans was about $20 cheaper. But, I used the same part number at both sites.
