Default LG PRO Headers O2 sensors Question

I just received my LG Pro Off-Road headers and after reading the directions about the O2 sensors I was abit confused. It says to move the rear sensors to the front and not use the front sensor connections at all. Well I called LG Motorsports to ask them if the car will throw back some error codes since I am only using the 2 rear sensors and he said yes but that i will need to send them my ecm to remove these codes for another $300.

Should I just return these and get the ones with the cats for an extra $300 and not have to do this ecm erasing procedure? Are there any other options? Will I have to get a tune ASAP after the install?

Any info would help... Thanks

Well that is a surprise eh.?
You can buy O2 simulators for cheap to fool the PCM or if you are going to get a tune anyway it is about a 10 second job to disable them.

LG normally supplies all the extensions that you need to make the front sensors work in there respective location. Some times you can move the rears to the front position but that requires an adapter harness to mate the rear connectors to the front connectors. The reason is because the rear sensors has a different connector. They will work fine as long as you have the right adapter which should have come with the header kit. That is one thing nice about the LG headers kits is that they give you every extension and adapter cable needed. That bad thing is for the money you spend they expect you to purchase a set of new manifold gaskets! In the last three sets I installed, one set came with one OE GM gasket the second set came with one Borla fiber gasket, and the third set came with a pair of OE GM gaskets. I call and ask and they tell me that they don't supply them at all, go figure!

I heard that O2 SIMS are no longer available. The CARB people put an end to the folks that manufactured them. I do not know how valid this rumor is! I just over heard this.

Caspers Electronics used to make them for many cars, recently they suddenly stopped manufacturing and selling of them.

Yes, Connecticut is correct. You seem to be missing the conversion harness. I just received my LG Pros (O/R version also) on Wednesday so if you need pics of the conversion harness, let me know. Good luck with your install!!! I'm having a GREAT time doing mine. Only two "busted knuckles" so far!!!
