I am new to the word of Corvettes and could use your help. I tried to use my Ipod with the remote FM transmitter for the first time the other day. It worked fine before I started the car. When I started the car the music stopped and the digital read out went crazy. I shut off the car, unplugged the Ipod, and reset the guages. The car seemed fine after that but I was afraid that the Ipod had caused problems and was afraid to try it again. It was plugged into the power port between the seats. Any advice?
Im just shooting in the dark but I would guess that you have one that is wireless and your getting some stray RF that may be your problem. Several people make the same thing but plug into the antenna port on the back of the deck and the antenna wire. It sounds better and works better to boot
If you want to spend a $150 or so you could have it plug into the changer port ( if you have one)

My adapter plugs into the changer wiring at the back of the car and only cost $50 if I recall. Works much better than the FM transmitter for my sirius, and I can use it for MP3 players too!
