Highest modded hp/tq catback comparison.
However, I keep seeing high flowing exhaust setups (flowmaster, b&b, borla, etc) putting down LESS hp/tq (esp torque) than Z06 Ti's and Corsa's when coupled with LT's, cam, heads, etc. My theory is that the slight backpressure is helping add torque.
This is just what I have gathered on the LS1Tech forum, but I'd like to have a simple list of peoples modifications, catback, header brand/style, and rwhp/tq in SAE correction. FI and Nitrous cars aren't really relevent in this survey.
My borla stinger with LT's and stock cam, intake and heads put down 328/340 SAE but now that I have the Z06 Ti's on there, it feels much faster.
Once I have the heads, cam and intake installed, I'll be interested to see what I put down.
Good luck on your project
I've been tuning EFI cars for at least 8 yrs on a non-professional basis. I've tuned my LT1 Camaro, 350 TBI truck (VE tune for new cam), and recently a bunch of C5's. My numbers have been comparable to professional tuners so far. If my new combo goes <400rwhp with a flat 12.6:1....then I'll call in a tuner to help me find out where I went wrong. However I plan on doing a street (VE) tune first and then some WOT wideband runs before I even get to a dyno. My last trip confirmed that I was able to get some good numbers just by street tuning with a datalogger and wideband.
