Default how do i get taller install height?

I'm sure you have read about my 918 springs breaking. I hear that the 918 spring needs to be set up at 1.80 so I checked mine the best i could and it seems to be around 1.631. How do i change it so it will be around the 1.80?

Change the shims under the springs.

CC does show that spring to be installed at 1.800.
.169" too short seems like alot more than a shim change to get even close to the 1.800 recommended hgt.
How did you measure them? Hite mic, snap gauge??
If these measurements are indeed, correct, the valve stem length would need to be at least +.150, to get close.

Maybe remeasure with a Hite Mic, and take another look??

I don't think you have that installed height. I have 0.060" shims under my PSI springs right now, and they are at 1.750" installed height. Your shims would need to be 1/8" thicker. You need to get a hold of a valve spring micrometer and measure correctly. They aren't much money, and Summit or JEGS will have you one in two days. Make sure it has a range that covers the length you need as they come in different lengths.

You didn't install new spring seats when you installed the springs did you. If so did you remove the stock spring seats? Maybe you have two sets of spring seats on there which would probably give you that install height. And that would cause coil bind and break the springs.
