Default Fuel Injector Cleaner

Okay, this will probably be considered an ignorant question, but here it goes:

Is it okay to occasionally use fuel injector cleaner in a C5, just like with any other car? Is it advisable to throw in a bottle every 5,000 miles or so?

It's not an ignorant question, because there are a lot of opinions on the subject. I personally put in a bottle of techoline or Red Line every 2-3 months. The reason I use it this often, is that my car is a "Weekend/fair weather" car, and I figure there is some degree of gunk buildup when it sits for extended periods.
If I used primarily Chevron brand gas, I proably wouldn't bother

There's also been a lot of threads about running Techron through ever couple of tanks. 1) it cleans up the injectors 2) cleans / prevents / cures the "gas gauge failure" problem many vettes suffer from.
Also, there are some threads (this should pretty much take up your afternoon) on Sea Foam. Do a search for those and get comfortable.

I just ran a tank through with Injector Cleaner, cleared up an issue I was having. No harm done.

Thanks, Todd157 and Nulltime. Based on the responses, it sounds like a good idea to use fuel injector cleaner occasionally. And talk about a cheap ounce of prevention if it will prevent the gas gauge problem from occurring!

If anyone else has opinions on fuel injector cleaner, please throw your comments into the hat.

I run either Berrymans or Techron through every 5000 miles or so.
