Default M6 - > A4 conversion ?'s

Hey guys, for those of you that have been following I cut a new best NA 60' of 1.88 last night on the 16" slicks. Unfortunately it was at a '3000 ft track so I didn't get a new best ET. ;( I'll try again at a sea level track soon.

Anyway my question is, can you reasonably convert a 6spd car to an A4? I'm only half-heartily considering the swap, but if it could be done very cleanly I might consider it. I know I'd have to either buy all the A4 hardware (console, shifter, torque tube, flywheel, tranny), or find another car to trade with me.

My real question is how would I handle the computer aspect of such a swap? Would I need an A4 PCM and a entire new wiring harness for the car? Would all the sensors and traction control hookup ok? I'd only consider this if I could have the car as nice as an A4 would come out of the factory.

I know at least one guy here has done such a swap, how did it turn out?

Thanks,

Personally, I'd just get another car.

I am very interested because the HT is the lightest and would provide the most gains from this kind of swap. I *think* you want an A4 PCM. I imagine you would have to look for a PCM from a car with similar features...A/H etc.

There is a guy on here wanting to go from his A4 to an M6...that might work out for the both of you.
