"Charge System Fault" on DIC ???

"Charge System Fault" on DIC ???
I have a 2001 coupe with a little over 10K miles. Once in a while when starting I get a message on the DIC that says something like "Charging System Fault". It goes away immediately and I have no other indications of anything - all gauges and performance are fine. It has happened probably 3 or 4 times in a year. I haven't checked to see if a code has been set. Anyone else ever see this message??? Anyone have an idea of what the system detects, or what might cause this message?? Thanks for any input.

I had it happen once after it seemed like it took a little longer to crank over than usual at around 1800 miles. Never happened again after that at almost 3000 miles now.

Try searching on "Charge System Fault" in the C5 Tech/Performance board in both recent and archived. You'll find some helpful info.
