I was just messing with ya. It seemed a little slanted towards the EMT though since you like yours.

Suddenly a truck in front of me dropped a piece of metal onto the road, and other cars were hitting it and causing it to fly all over the freeway. I tried to avoid it, but at the last moment a car in front hit it and sent it spinnning into my front tire. It pierced the sidewall of the tire and then rolled away, leaving me with a rapidly deflating tire.

Fortunately I pulled off and replaced the damaged tire with the spare and still made the interview on time. If all I'd had was a can of "fix-a-flat" like we have in our Z06's I would have been screwed as that stuff cannot fix a sidewall puncture (or almost anything beyond a simple puncture to the tread). I would have had to wait for a tow truck, a tow to a tire shop, and then wait for them to repair/replace the tire if I had to rely on the "fix-a-flat" kit With an EMT tire none of this would have been an issue.
I would agree that there are certain times when a runflat would be great, but imho I just hate them. I like a softer tire with horrible thread wear that can handle 600+hp on the street but that is just me. Even before that though the ride characteristics are just so much better with non runflats to me. To me though I have been driving for many many years and I have prob had 1 incendent where I had a tire go flat from the sidewall where a can of fix-a-flat wouldn't fix it.

I don't have the EMTs as I have a Z06. I also prefer the non-EMT tires, but that's because I am looking for performance rather than reliability. Only time I wish I had EMT tires was as I was spinning off into the desert at Willow Springs Raceway ( Head driving instructor later asked at afternoon driver's meeting "so at what speed did you run out of talent?) and thought that if I cut a tire sidewall the 350 mile drive home was not gonna be an option !!

That will take out the pressure sensor though. I carry a plug kit and the lightweight jack. However, most people also have AAA Gold and a cell phone, so as long as you keep an eye on the truck operator, flat bed it to a good tire dealer.

ah yeah I guess I had a brain fart and totally forgot about these sensors. I don't carry one since I use what you just posted, a phone and AAA, but I also have a car hauler and truck to pick up my vette if anything went bad.

Goodyear GS-D3 is an excellent but expensive tire, do not miss the run flats. These tires are much quieter, smoother ride and better in the corners. I carry a compressor. Only warning if you are in a cold climate be careful these tires lose traction at very low temps. You will love them in the rain.

Depends on your aim - do you like the security of having a runflat tire or not?

For my $.02, get non-runflat and a tire inflation kit.

Ditto that. Improvements all the way to 150mph as well.
