Well, the 98 red top battery is dead again. I don't drive this vette much but still...
Anyway, any suggestions on a portable jump box? She's in a condo garage with no electrical outlets. Many of the ones I see advertised say that they are good for 4 or 6 cylinder cars - don't know if they would work on the vette.
I've got a jump box that I carry around. It was one of the generic brands at O'Reily's and it's performed fine. I will say this, though. If you're battery is EXTREMELY run down, you might have a problem with a jump box providing enough voltage to get the car to start.
I bought a few of those really cheap $20 jumpstarts from Homier Tool and they start my 11:1 Z06 with no problems at all. Can even start if with no battery in the car, just clamp on the ends of the cables and fire it right up. Hard to beleive these things are only $20. They have a small air compressor, light, voltmeter, on/off switch, and lighter jack for 12VDC stuff. They are cheap and cheezy but very impressive for $20, I have been using these for about two years with no problems.
