Default New Vacuum Pump Kit installed.

I just got the new C5 vac pump kit from GZ Motorsports. I don't have any dyno results or anything yet, but at least I don't have to worry about oil in the intake anymore. Install was cake. Hardest part is to figure out how to plumb the pump to the crankcase.

I'm not affiliated with GZ in anyway, just wanted to spread the word on a great new kit that's available.

Nice neat configuration, the way the second fitting exits down below (though somewhat inconvenient to service).

Here's mine:

Well, right now I have the PVC fitting from both the LS6 valley cover and the valve cover going to 3/8 fuel line, then those go to a 3/8 npt Tee with barb fittings for the fuel line. Then I have a 3/8 to 10 AN adapter on the other side of the Tee. I'll have to do some testing to see how much oil and vacuum it will pull with this configuration. I may have to change it up a little.

MR Lucky, How is your pump connected to the crank case?
The outlet fitting on mine is pretty hard to get to, but I don't think I'll have to mess with it often enough to worry about it.

There is no direct connection between the pump and the motor. Everything is routed through a 2-stage catch can. Here it is, in an earlier incarnation (same can and motor, but different pump and air intake):

The connections (from memory) are as follows.
suck = passenger-side valve cover
blow = catch can
The third connection from the catch can vents to the nipple on the FAST (hidden from view under the fuel rail cover).

Looks like the kit A&A was selling awhile back....

How much are they selling it for out of curiosity? Let us know if you try it out on the dyno....would like to see some more independent results.

Thanks,
Tony

The kit is $689.
I just got HP tuners and am tuning my car for a new cam and the 90/90 setup. Hopefully I'll make it to the dyno in a week or two. After I get my tune dialed in, I'll take the belt off the pump for a pull.
