Aight guys, what do you make of this. My key FOB stopped working about a week ago, so I've been using the damn key. Thinking the battery died, I replaced the battery and tried to relearn. It relearned, but when I hit lock or unlock it would click the doors twice. That really interfered with the Window Valet, effectively rendering it useless. I removed the window valet and tried again, and now it doesn't work period.
The really strange part is the double clicking. It does not double click the hatch pop though. Any ideas?
This same problem has gone through here MANY times. Almost always from the east coast. Check your grounds. Seems that more often than not, bad grounds are the gremlins. Take them apart, clean, coat, assemble. Maybe this helps. I keep it on hand.
Dang, thats a good point. I shoulda thought of that... I thought the FOB was screwing up. Now, does anyone know which ground is the one connected to whatever controls the FOB computer (and the passenger side mirror BCM for that matter)? :

Thanks for the drawing. I have a similar problem with my FOB.
Fred
my fob has been doing this too lately and I would really like to know where the ground is to fix this problem. I have cleaned the grounds in the engine bay but haven't made it to the others as of yet... anyone have any pics????
