How hard to pull dash cluster? I have pulled the console to do a shifter and it appears that it is only a few more screws and dropping the steering column to get the cluster out.
Has anybody done this, is it a pain in the butt or not really that bad?
All I have to do is get to a bulb behind button 1 and 2 to replace it.
I have the GMPP so I could always have Bryner Chevrolet do it but they are an hour away. I could probably have it done in the 2 hours it would take me to drive it to the dealership. What would you do, pull it yourself and replace bulb or use warranty. I usually do everything possble to avoid the dealer but I hear the tech at Bryner is excellent.
Like everyone above says, it is pretty easy and you are half way there already! One thing to note, the manual warns about laying the cluster face down or face up for more than 15 minutes. They say it can damage the fluid filled gauges. If you leave it out just remember to lay it as it is when it is in the car.
Thanks guys. I found a few good sites with instructions including this one. I guess I will pick up some bulbs and do it myself. Does everybody think I should replace all of them or just the effected bulbs?
