I asked a tuning employee what gains I would get and he said only 10 HP? Is this true or is he a idiot? I heard you can get 45 hp on a stock c5 with a good tune. Has anyone had their stock vette tuned?
I have a 2000 convertable, 6spd with corsa exhaust and a k&n air cleaner installed in the original air cleaner box that I cut and modified.

You should expect to see 10-15 RWHP gain and a like amount of torque. But, the benefits go beyond the HP/TQ improvements.
As an example....
1) Fuel trims within ~2% of stoichiometric will improve response and optimize fuel economy
2) Removal of the "cags"
3) Optimized fan settings to better control engine operating temperature and again, optimize fuel economy
