Default How to flush a/c system?

Whats the best way to flush out the system I have run 2 quqrts of some a/c flush from local auto parts store at $20 apop and still have a bit of aluminum in my return bucket.I was wondering what else or a proper method I can use to flush all the aluminum out of the system

I assume the compressor came apart internally and that is the reason for the metal? If so, bad news, you need to buy a condensor. New car condensors have passages that are too small to flush. If you leave it it will cause future problems with the new compressor possibly failing or the system just not cooliing due to excessive head pressure. Also check to see if the line coming from the compressor going to the condensor has any kind of muffler or chamber. If it does it will also need to be replaced. Sorry for the bad news.

The reciever/dryer is the equivalent of an "oil filter" for your AC system. It needs to be replaced as well. The flush you used should be good....but after metal is in it, you may need to replace the condensor as mentioned above.

Ill take my chances and flush it till she runs clean I want to find something to use thats not $20 a quart.I dont want to use some thing that will damage the seals etc. if there is anything i can use please inform me.

Brake clean & then compressed air to get it all out.
