Don't know about the effort of installing the hardened shaft (fairly non-trivial, I'd bet), but installing the diff brace on the car really requires a lift. I know, I know, there are folks out there who've done it on jack stands, but it was hassle enough using the lift. Lowered the entire rear suspension (which you'll be doing anyway for the output shaft, I imagine) about 3 inches, made it much easier.

HTH, and have a good one,
Mike

You will have to take the cradle and diff out to install the output shaft.

I just bought all those same parts at RPM Transmissions. The guys there are very friendly and answered a lot of questions for me.

I've put the brace in both ways, its a pain The shaft is more tedious than hard to do.

But launching with h/c and a 100 shot is a fun feeling
