Default DTC Code help

My car has a check engine light on. It is throwing 4 codes.

one is P0155
one is C0221
one is C0222
and I think the final is C0248

can anyone help me with what any of these mean.

Thanks

Anyone? I know the last 3 codes are incorrect I will re post those later. The first looks like it has something to do with an 02 sensor. But I don't know which one. Or if this is normal for long tube headers.

Here is a website for a really comprehensive C5 DTC database:

This is the absolute best C5 Code web site!!!

http://www.corvettedoctor.com/Code_Main.html
http://www.corvettedoctor.com/index.html

[www.corvettedoctor.com

Go to “technical data base” and then to “Corvette ECM Computer Codes”. Then select your year car. Read the instructions and then scroll down to the "READ MORE" window to view the code definitions.\

Here is another very good site:

http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_cod...d-ii-codes.php

Make sure to include the H or C suffix!!

Once you get the correct codes, we will help you figure it out.

Thanks. Ok the C codes were all H the P was a C.

I think that means the C were history correct?

I know for sure one code was P0155 which the list says H02S Heater performance. But I have no idea what that means. So I guess I should start with this code.

Your codes that start with a P are from the PCM and will make the check engine light come on, the codes that start with a "C" come from the BCM if your fault code ends with an "H" it's a history code but the check engine light may still be illuminated and if it ends with an "HC" or a "C" then it is a current fault.

Your 02 sensor heater is not working and that is why your check engine light is on.

Ok so is there any way to find out which one that is or do I need to bring it in to find other codes?

P0155 = Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Heater Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 1

Bank 2 = passenger side
Sensor1 = forward (pre-cat) sensor

Ok so it would seem like my forward passenger side 02 is bad then? I know it is plugged in. If I put them in wrong would both fronts be going off?

Also would this cause the car to idle really badly and the exhaust to smell like gass?

Not necessarily, and yes. Check for any exhaust leaks before and immediately after the sensor. Also check for burned sensor leads. Sometimes the sensors themselves will melt from header heat. Only replace the sensor if it is melted or if no other problems are found. If your sensor is melted, replace it and wrap the new one with Coolsox material (asbestos?), held in place with baling wire (zip-ties would fall apart from the heat).

Possibly, since the failure to see a proper sensor reading would inhibit proper closed-loop operation.

The P0155 code is the only one relevant to your CEL. Just erase the others and see if they come back.
