Default Extensive exaust review

All of the below is IMHO!!!
Switched up the exaust on the Z for the 5th time , here's the low-down for anyone contemplating exaust work.

1)stock: Toooo mild for a 385/405 hp car. Can only start to hear it when pulling hard. This should have been the exaust for the coupes/convert. Noise level on a scale on 1 to 10..... 2
2)stock manifolds, cats, h-pipe, bullets: Start-up is awesome. Has the occasional pop on decel (which kind of makes it sound menacing). Overall, not too loud, sounds more like a Z should sound. Throw in an X-pipe, and i'd say this is maybe how it should have come from the factory. Noise level.....4
3)LT headers, highflow cats, x-pipe, bullets: Kind of like above, only a little louder, and more smoothed out. About as far as i would ever go for a daily driver (partition could easily quiet it down). Noise level..6
4)LT headers, no cats, x-pipe, bullets: One word...LOUD. This is for the NON-daily driver, **** off the wife, all hell is breaking loose when you floor it set-up. Made me get a partition. Still too loud for "the other half" It really turns heads (including cops). Noise level...9
5)LT headers, no cats, x-pipe, Ti's back on: This is a nice setup for a daily driver!!! Startup tells you it's not stock . Around town and cruising is only a little louder then stock. When you floor it though, the volume reallyyyy kicks up...Noise level...around 3.
I'm actually glad i did it. Like i said, it's a good middle ground for a pseudo-daily driver. And now i get to ditch the partition, and save weight.

I have LT's straight back, no x pipe to corsa's. This bad boy is LOUD. But it sounds mean when you floor it and very intimidating when your in the burn out box....then you run a 13.

Default catback

I've got B&B Bullets on there right now, better put mom and kids to bed. Well, maybe not, cause I'm going to wake them up.

I have the bullets, stock manifolds, gutted cats and I don't think mine is loud enough. I'm fixing to go cam and LT with X pipe and hope it gets louder but I was considering going to the GHL's. My buddy has the GHL's and his cam really pops and its a 224,224,112. Those GHL's seem way louder. You think the new setup will compete with the GHL's?

I love the sound of the B&B (PRT's) Thats my favorite followed by the GHL (MAGNUM's) at a close second best. I love the deep sound, there amazing, I still don't own a set I just hear them on friends cars at the Vette club...Awesome!! Maybe next spring time I'll get a set.
