Default Oil analysis report

I sent my oil in to Blackstone Labs after my last oil change.
http://www.blackstone-labs.com/index.html
The car does not get a whole lot of street driving but I do about 3-4 HPDE a year.

The oil had about 2500 or so miles on it. Car has about 48,500 miles on it. I got the analysis back and everything was great with the exception of the lead content. It was pretty high. I don't run any leaded race type gas and really don't put any additives in the car. The lab says that this is from the bearings, and does not bode well for engine longevity.

Was wondering if you guys had any thoughts on this.
Any help or comments would be great, I hope the bearings aren't going. Car still runs strong no tell tale signs of any problems.

TIA
Tim

What is oil?

Can you scan and post the report?

Techtron will up the lead count if you have used it. If you are doing HPDE's, then the viscosity at temperature will be more critical.

You many also want to post at bobistheoilguy.com as there are a lot of experts on this subject over there.

I've gotten several oil analysis from Blackstone. My oil usually goes 6,000 to 6500 miles (until 1 or 2 % left on DIC). They always report everything normal and wear less than normal. They said I could go longer on oil, but I have not. I have over 100,000 miles on my 1998 Coupe.

Just checked my last two analyses, even immediately after the head change and the car was running very rich, my lead was 7 ppm for the worst, and the next test was 3 ppm after I got the tune squared away. I would re-check after 1,000 miles by just draining cold for about 10 seconds and then take sample. Sure looks like you have an issue though. Have you tried running it on the street or a while and then sampling to see if the HDPE are the source?

Just remember, although your numbers are very high on lead, that the winter months will also tend to elevate certain numbers as well.

my lead was 8 vs your 39 and I spank my car hhard at the track I had 1500 track only miles on it. You didn't do TBN? So I am running the car at the track and they tell me 2500 miles and people are driving the street and changing at 3,000 total waste.
