Any of you guys ever use this bolt? I have been told that you can reuse it and that is why I bought it. I got it today and I must admit, the head of it is unique. What did you use to torque it down with?
The torque is 190 lb-ft using the ARP Moly lubricant. Don't remember the socket size, but a 12 point is required. I think it is also SAE, not metric. Follow the service manual procedure using the old bolt, then when the requirement is to install the new GM bolt substitute the ARP and use these values.

Thanks, any idea where I can get some of the ARP moly lubricant?
I am not sure if I am going to use it, may just sell the ARP bolt. I am doing the install Friday and I will not have time to be hunting for the 12 point socket I will need. Plus, finding decent tools here in Charleston can be a challenge.
The bolt is designed to be re-used in that the stretch induced when tightening to the correct value will keep the material under its yield limit. Hence, it can be used again.
DAMNN** - Yeah, I would have bought it in a heartbeat, but I JUST ordered the SAME ARP bolt from Thunder racing on Tuesday - no kidding, I've been sitting on a list of last minute "items needed" for my upcoming install - so Tuesday, I got on the phone ordered some bolts, gaskets, lubes, etc - I double checked my order list, and yes, I did order the ARP bolt.
BIG THANKS FOR YOUR OFFER - if I didn't have one on order, I'd take it off your hands immediately.
Good luck with your install, and with selling your ARP bolt! FYI, SDPC sells the ARP assembly lube - PM me if you need their phone number and the part number.

DOUBLE DAMMNN!!! For some reason, fate has our two ships passing thru the same water, but a day or so apart - at the same time I ordered my ARP bolt, I ordered a Melling High Volume Oil pump and an extra O ring for the pickup tube - I'd have jumped at BOTH of your offers a week ago - but, I got on the phone earlier this week and placed my orders so when I'm done deer hunting, things are waiting for me to take my car apart and put it back together.
WHAT I DO NEED IS: ARP assembly lube, Redline Assembly Lube, and a Cloyes double roller timing chain w/ gears.

What exactly are you doing? CAM wise, adding a blower? I ran a double roller timing chain and I will never do that again, long story. I went with a JWIS timing chain and reused the stock sprockets.

I tried doing a quick search on this, but I didn't find exactly what I was looking for, and I'm going to be installing my pulley this weekend (hopefully), so I need a little info.
2001 coupe, I'm installing a USP underdrive crank pulley and I AM using an ARP pulley bolt (new, never used) -
Question - per above, you say torque the ARP crank bolt to 190 ft lbs using the ARP lube (I've got the ARP lube ) - Am I supposed to torque to 190 ft lbs, PERIOD (ie: do I forget about the FACTORY requirement to torque to angle once the initial torque limit is reached?)
Another Question: Since I'm supposed to use ARP lube on the ARP crank bolt, I assume that I DO NOT also use red locktite on the crank bolt, CORRECT??? I'm a little confused about whether or not to put locktite on the crank bolt or not -
ARP pully bolt can be reused, torque to 190 ft.lb. and no torque to angle ,with ARP lube,no thread lock. If your pully isn't pinned its a good idea to do it while you have the car apart. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...crank+pinning;)
