Where is the best place to buy a new sending unit/sensor other than a Chevy dealer? (I shudder to think what one would cost from a dealer)
Also, what is the proper name for one of these things? I did a search for an oil pressure sending unit on the following websites: NAPA, Autozone, and O'Reilly's. Came up with zip.
Any help/info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I have also had problems finding one locally. The big parts houses (AutoZone, Advanced, Carquest, O'Reilly, Pep Boys, NAPA) don't stock them. I will look into Rockauto.com

Buy the Delco part and expect to change it again in the not too distant future. The recommendation for the Standard Parts sender PS308 or whatever it is is a good choice. It's brass and the OEM part is aluminum. Watch the installation torque and don't go much over 18 ft lbs (I think - might not be but 12)
