I Replaced My Thermostat Yesterday. Noticed A Little Coolant In The Garage. So I Started Tightening The Bolts. I Broke The Bolt That Is On The Lower Right Side. Any Ideas On How To Get The Rest Of The Bolt Out?
I would drain the system and pull the thermostat and see if there is any of the bolt protruding that you can grab. If that doesn't work, try turning it with a small punch and hammer by putting the punch towards the outer diameter of the broken section and then trying to tap it counter-clockwise to rotate it out.
If there is a little bit of the bolt left, you can hammer on a "bolt out nut" on there. These can be bought at sears. I would spray it down with pb blaster before hand to make sure there is no corrosion. You might only get a one try and don't want to break it again. Just back the bolt out nice and slow.
Good Luck.

thanks alot for your help. i really appreciate it.
I have had similar problems with head bolts in the past. An “easy out” or Sears “reverse drill bit” used to be the solution. Until an engineer loaned me his 4 piece set of the Drill-Out Micro Power Extractor. Works great on engine bolts and I also removed 96 rusted over Phillips head screws from an above ground pool cap w/o having to replace the bit. See:http://www.newmantools.com/drillout/how2.htm to purchase the tool, it will be worth the wait. Good Luck...Ed
