The engine idiot light is on a steady light. It came on about 3-5 minutes after a moment or two of hard accelerations (spirited driving). Had this happen on my other GM car and after refueling the gas tank the light went off. But not in this case; gassed up the vette and the idiot light is still on. The owner’s manual offers very little help... take it into your Chevy Dealership (stealership). Any suggestions or recommendations?
do a search on how to pull up the DTC code, write it down and then come back to the computer and find out what the code means. After that do a search and see how to fix it. Simple.

30 years ago when the light was simply something to call attention to the dimwit who didn't watch gauges, idiot light was a good name. Today, with computer power more like that of a space ship than an automobile, the name is a misnomer. It's trying to tell you something REALLY important. Pulling the codes will be an enjoyable few minutes and most informative. Let us know what you learn.
