Very Dim Dash Lights
My dash lights seem to have a mind of their own. When I get in the car after work and turn on the lights, the dash lights are bright and respond to the dimming button correctly. After about 15 to 20 miles of highway driving, they have slowly dimmed to the point where I can not see the radio controls at all. There are no other symptoms. The lights do not flicker at all and touching/tapping the dimming **** has no effect. The voltmeter reads 14.1 volts all the time. When I finally stop, turn the lights off and kill the engine, the dash lights come back on with the right amount of intensity until I remove the key and exit the car. I'm baffled. The car is a 2001 Z06 with 1500 miles on it.
