I replaced the battery in my remote door lock fob and reprogrammed it per owners manual and it worked fine for one day. After a day or two it loses the code and must be reprogrammed again. Any suggestions?
I have a '99 with the same problem. I replaced batteries, key fob with the same result. I took it to MTI in houston and they said it was the main body computer. I don't know if that will help, but that was the problem with mine.
You might try this.... As it was fine till you replaced the battery,,,,
My bet is the little spring steel ears are bent, so they do not make good contact. They work for a little while.. but they lose contact for a split second... hence the need to re-program...
To fix, snap it apart... bend the spring up, so it is higher, and when you snap it together, it makes a hard contact. You can also clean the contact, with a pencil eraser. My bet is... it could fix it.

Sometimes that is the problem. I soldered, bent , tweaked, and it still did the same as others. Got a new fob....problem solved. They just go bad inside the electronics. Trust me just get a new one.

Same thing happened to me. Did everything I could to the thing and finally bought a new fob.
