what gearing you looking to go with?

I am trying to narrow down what gears were installed in a C5 i bought, and if what i found out is true (3.73) i am going to be looking to do a trade with someone for some 3.15's...as i put the car on the highway for most of the driving i do.

I drove an auto with the 3.42's and I feel that they are perfect for all around driving and gas mileage. It was hard to get traction In 1st gear. I don't know If It's that way stock. I couldn't amagine what It would be like with 3.73 or 3.90's They would be great for drag racing thats for sure. My buddy has a 2800 stall with the 3.42's and It really hauls as* I must say I was very Impressed

Stock was 2.73 or the perf axle was 3.15. Lots of folks go with the 3.42 in the auto for better off the line get up. (I plan on doing that myself someday.) On my 2003 with the 2.73 rear, it takes a but of work to spin the tires, but I do get 29 MPH on the highway.
