Regarding the Florida Sun Pass transponder. Does a 2001 corvette, with heads up display, have any metallic oxide in the windshield that will interfere with the transponder? Any problems with the dots for solar tint around the rear view mirror? Thanks.

I did have trouble when I mounted mine just below and to the left of the mirror so I could see the little light. It did not beep but somehow they figured out where I got on and charged the proper amount. When it did not beep I moved it directly under the mirror and down and when I got off the turnpike it beeped.

They figured it out by your license plate number.

That makes sense. Plus the next day when I returned they may have looked at where I got off. Can you imagine that job? Wonder how many they have to try and figure out? I'm just glad they didn't send me a ticket and then have to dispute it.
