Default nitrous

I have a stock 99 Convertable that I am running with a twin cone low restrictive air filter. The car dyno perfect with the stock tune, 315 HP & 325 lbs of torque. I have since added 100 wet shot nitrous system with a window switch to shut off the nitrous before the cars rev limiter kicks in.

With street tires I was able to pull 12.7 seconds in the quarter mile @ 116.57 MPH. My reaction time was .009 which I may never see again.
How much do you think I can drop off my time by practice and can I move to 150 HP shot if I check it on the dyno. I want to do this and be safe do I need to change any parts? I know i mar have to set back the timing and I have a steped down one level to a cooler cooper spark plug.
This car is a daily driver during the good weather so I don't want to boost it so much that it becomes difficult to drive.
thanks,
Jack

A 100 shot gives you enough power to get the car into the 11s; your MPH backs that up. You didn't indicate what type of transmission you're running. Auto or manual the key to quick ETs is traction and 60 foot times. Your reaction time has nothing to do with your ET. I'd stick with the 100 shot for awhile and work on launch techniques. With practice you should be able to get your 60 foot times below 2.0 seconds even on street tires. If you're spinning the tires hard when the nitrous activates try to slightly delay the activation.

Not a flame by any means, but for me, a 150 shot on stock bottom end on a '99 would concern me. Mileage?? Good Luck

Bottom end is fine... it's the limitations of the injectors and your fuel pump you should be concerned with. If you haven't already, you should be running a step colder plug, i.e. TR6.

The stock engine should be fine with a 150 shot. But I would recommend upgrading your fuel pump to one that can supply your engine and the nitrous. And as stated above even with the 100 shot you should have the tr6's in, you don't want to be spraying with platinum plugs.
