Default Cam needs

I have a completely stock 99 6M w/ 82K miles. I need to replace my stock crank pulley due to the dreaded wobble. While I'm at it, I plan to replace the cam with something more powerful. (only because if I'm ever going to do it, I should do it at the same time)

This is my daily driver. I never race. Cruise the weekends with my vette friends etc. I like power, just like everyone else. I like the way cars sound with a healthy cam, but I don't like the shaking (g5x3 112 shakes too much for me).

I do not have headers. I do not have ls6 intake or heads. I do not plan to change these. I'm going to do the work myself with a few friends on a weekend.

I know I need a cam, springs. Do I need new pushrods?

Which cam? (I know this is like asking which header is better) I have a friend that did a comp cam 224-228 588 114 in a C6. It sounds good, but I think I'd like a little more. However, since I have the ls1 intake & heads and do not have headers. What should I do? It seems like all the cam cars I've read about have better intake and headers, and I know I'm not going to change that out. (I guess I'm looking for a nice upgrade in power for the least amount of money)

Take a look at this tread and I think it will answer some of your questions.

I've got a 228/232 602/600 @112+5, and it has a barely audible lope at 825rpms. It does shake the car a little bit, though. My wife hates it.

I'd go over to "internal engine" at www.ls1tech.com and do a search for "stealth cam". From what I've read they are made for guys without headers.
