I changed out my wheel bearings, due to the fact I had a rythmic vibration that did not go along with the braking, and it fixed the vibration going down the road. But, I still have lots of wobble and pulsation of the pedal when getting on the brakes. Went to get the front rotors turned, but they told me that the rotors were too thin already to turn, so I suppose I will end up getting some new rotors in the near future. I have read several posts that recommend getting new pads, but the pads I have are still in good shape????
I have not addressed the problem yet. My car is on jacks now waiting for new front tires. The more I think about it, the more I think it is the rear rotors.
Think about it...You drive the car hard, then park it and apply the e-brake. The pads just bake against the pads and you get warpage.

Thats my theory anyway. I'm always careful at the track not to do that, but maybe i was driving hard on the street.

When you apply the e-brake, it is not the regular pads that hold the rear, there is essentially a drum brake on the inside of the rotor and a brake pad/shoe that presses up against it away from the regular pad/rotor surface, so the e-brake can't be your culprit.

My car had a vibration/shimmy going down the road, a lot more when the brakes were applied and even more so from higher speeds, and I noticed some small cracks, so I just put new brakes on this week. I am not sure if that cured my problem, Ill finds out tomorrow.

I had vibration caused by pad material transfer to the rotors after a rear pad change out. I don't recall if there was any way of telling whether it was front or rear by how it felt. New rear rotors fixed it.
