Default 112lsa vs 114lsa

with 224/228 cam in A4 with Yank SS3600 and headers what will be the daily drive difference between the two lsa's? 112lsa seems a little to rough 'at least in concept.

That's not a real radical cam, so the difference should be minor. It'll move your powerband down slightly, which is a benefit on an automatic with stall.

I'd go with the 114 lsa for civility and ease of tuning especially with the automatic...

Not to mention the 114lsa will still pass the tailpipe emissions testing should that come back into fashion in the future.

Good luck deciding.

I'd go with the 112. Better DCR and a more street-friendly power peak. It's still short enough that the idle won't be too bad. But true, if you want a real smooth idle go 114 or more.

autos react differently to 112. I think you should stick with 114. Get 3.42s to make up the low end TQ.

I'd stick with the 114. It'll behave better on the street and be easier to tune. I swapped my car from an M6 to a built 4L60E and left the cam alone. The cam was on a 112 and there was a noticable difference.

I'm going through the same thing... G5-X2 112 or 114? Car is a '01 z06 w/ intake, kooks headers w/ cats and stingers.

When doing my heads & cam, I spoke to Chris and Doug at ECS extensively about what I wanted out of my heads and cam package. I have an A4 with stock 3.15 gears. They recommended a 224/230 cam with 114 lsa to both give me the numbers I wanted and to give me a comfortable idle and drive. You can still feel the lope at idle, I can imagine a 112 lsa would be even more pronounced. I would definitely go with a 114 lsa.
