Default A/C Heater Hack?

Anyone know of a hack to bypass the A/C when running the heater? On some cars, you hold down a couple of buttons while the key is in,but Ig is off.

Thanks

depress the a/c button, this will cause the unit to come out of the auto mode. In fact depressing just about any button will bring the unit out of the auto mode. However, it will default to the mode that it was set in if you have memory function.

It's actually a good idea to leave the AC "on" even in colder weather as it dries the air for the defroster AND it keeps all the seals lubricated in the AC system itself...

But hey, I've been known to be wrong before... well, once that I'm aware of!
