So I finally put my Corsa Pace Cars on last night. Had an empty auto shop classroom to work in. Got them mounted purrrty and nice and even.
When I fired it up (loved the note from the first sound) I noticed EVERY one of those round bolted on clamps leaks. All of them. They are torqued as per the directions to 40 ft. lbs. So what gives? Do you just use these until you go in it and weld or does it matter? No sound is coming out of there but you see water and can feel air.
LMK what to do, I offer my meek request to the gods of speed. BTW, I feel like a rockstar at full throttle. Man these things are NASTY. I hit it in a parking garage last night just to hear it resonate. What a thrill.
Ditch the corsa clamps in lieu of the 3" wide easy seal clamps available at Napa Auto Parts. Pricey at $8-10 each, but well worth it. They seal marvelously, and clamp VERY well to boot.
