317 heads are used on both LQ9 and LQ4 engines, both of which are 6.0L truck engines with 3.996" (101.5mm) bores.
LS1 has a bore of 3.898" (99mm)
LS2 has a bore size of 4" (101.6mm)
In my opinion the 317's on a LS2 are a good fit if you are FI and on a budget. 317's can use the stock intake.

I am running MTI 2R heads on my LS2 and they started with a 317 casting and chopped away.

Sure, that'd be nice, but there's no exhausts that fit the C5 yet.

You'd better explain that one, as there are already C5's on the streets with the 402/L92 heads.

It's not. Back in the car business. I couldn't stay away! Just wanted to know if I pull the trigger on a LS2 402 shortblock, would I be able to re-use my current LQ9 heads. If you want to price me out the shortblock, shoot me a PM.

Yeah right... Any LSx based header will bolt up to an L92 head. I have seen them in person.. There have been PLENTY of setups done.
BUT... since YELLOHHH has a Magnacharger they WONT fit. It won't bolt up to an L92 head. The Magnacharger (intake) uses stock LS1/LS2 style intake port configuration. The L92 is Different. His best bet is a 317 or aftermarket cylinder head or get a different supercharger.

Anyone know if Phil is still into building motors or is he "retiring"?
