Default What am I missing on LG PRO HEADERS

Good day to all,
I am installing LG5X3 Cam and Pro exhaust. Waiting on AFR heads. I planned on removing air tubes and pump. To make things a little bit easier I thought I would just buy block off flanges instead of making them. Here is where I hit a little bump in the road. I call LG and was told by Bobby that they didn't recommend blocking them off. I said, the install instructions did not mention this. I then asked why? He said that the extra weight of a blind flange caused the air tube on the header to break. Hog wash Come on the air tube assembly is flanged and weights a lot more than just a blind flange. Am I missing something are is this just some lame excuse for shoddy quality and workmanship showing up on the most powerful and expensive headers on the planet.????????????? Thanks Guys

Vibration and fatigue go hand in hand, the attached pipe may tend to damp out the vibrations.

Mine is blocked off (Dynatech headers) and to date has not been an issue whatsoever after 1 race season. That being said, I've heard of cases where they did break off...not just rumor or theory.

seen several pics of that problem on this website. if I were you, I would have someone weld it right before installing them.
