I don't know what gains you'd see cam only, but you have good heads and an ls6 intake already on your setup being a 2004. I'm very happy with my 228/232 with its 412hp/394tq...still working on tuning to bring it higher if possible...but its not the cam's fault....just an older car with quirks and wear.
I've also got the 228/232 on a 110+1 lsa but on stock heads and no underdrive pulley. 6spd with 4:10's and made 386rwhp and 382rwtq. This cam has a good broad torque curve. It has a nice little lope to it and it does shake a little at stop lights, which I kinda like anyway. This cam fit my bill. I wanted good midrange and wanted to know I had a cam in it.
VETTE NUTS--- I have Nitto 555 275-40-18 on the rears--so less traction there---also--I have most of the torque MGMT taken out so there is no timing retard as it starts to build rpm.I have my PE enrichment start at 68% 0f throttle and about 25* timing in that whole general acceleration area 3600 to 6300 from .52 grms to .84 grms---It will pretty much roast them at any RPM in 1st and when it hits 2nd if you're not ready for it --it will loop itself--only thing is your now at 60-65 mph so it's very dangerous to drive---I'm looking to improve traction --possibly drag radias or better tires or taller tires-anything to kill some of the bottom end--I'd like to say I can drive it thru it-but its tough--looking into maybe fabbing a window switch used in nitrous applications to proram in some spark retad in 1st gear to kill the bottom end some---Know of anything ????? I hate to put everything back the way it was because it is a rocket ship after 1st gear--and if i could fix it --then I'd really have something---
