Default Air Pipe

Need to remove the AIR pipe, right side is easy to access, but I can't see where it is connected to the head on the left side. Is it accessible from underneath the car? It is a 99 vert. Any help appreciated!!!

You have to remove intake to get to it, on the driver side head deep in the back.

There is a bolt on the rear of the left cylinder head that secures the metal pipe. I'm fairly certain that the bracket on the pipe where the bolt goes through is of the "U" shaped variety, meaning you don't have to completely remove the bolt. Just loosen it enough and the pipe will pull up. Problem is, there is very very little room to get a wrench (or your hands) back there to where the bolt is. A good flashlight and an inspection mirror might help and, if at all possible, maybe just maybe you might be able to loosen it without having to remove the intake manifold. In the past I have heard a couple guys here say they have been able to do this.
HTH,
Robert

No need to remove the intake for that bolt, I got it out and I have large hands. Didn't need to see, just knew where the bolt was and it's size (13mm).
