Modding my oil pickup
I'm building a 383 stroker and i took the pan off my original motor to put on the new motor and i noticed that the opening on the oil pickup is only about 2" long by 1/4" wide. I was wondering if by if i were to open that up would it effect anything negativly in my engine. I'm still going to have the screen in the pickup to preent any needle bearings from being sucked up but i just need to know if doing that is a bad thing or will it help with my oil system.
