I have to send my 4 wheels to the new buyer, therefore, I have to jack up my car and put it on jacks for a short time. Looking at the undercarriage it appears as though there is not any real good location to put my 4 jacks. Any suggestions please would be helpful. I have never done this before obviously.
Thanks,
Dean
Easiest way in your case is to place the jacks CAREFULLY under each jacking point on each side of the car. There are 4 points you'll see directly under the rocker panels which are just big enough to fit a jack. These each have a hole in the frame where a jacking puck would fit. However you can jack from these w/o one if u do it very carefully and actually watch where your jack is contacting. Make sure it is on the metal of the frame and avoid touching the thin fiberglass rocker panels otherwise you'll crack them!
I've done this and had wheels off w/o a problem.
I use the ends of each of the crossbars front and rear. Since I am lowered a bit I drive car onto four pairs of 2X4s, jack up the front via the crossbar, install two jack stands, adjust up their height, lower car onto jack stands in front, jack up the back, install jack stands at same relative height as front.
