LS6 vs LS2

LS6 vs LS2
I have a built LS6 sitting here and a stock LS2. Is it worth taking the heads and cam from the LS6 and put them in the LS2? Whats involved in making the LS2 a 402? This is all for a camaro race car if that matters on which motor.

the heads on a ls2 motor are ls6 heads. Not sure on cam specs for a ls2 i would think they might be the same or a liittle bigger because the motor is bigger. You need a 4 inch crank to make the ls2 into a 402. Might need bigger rods for the bigger stroke.

... but since the ls6 heads are "done-up", if it were me, i'd go for the ls2 block, swap the heads from the ls6 put the ls2 heads onto the ls6 (sell that entire engine) and put a bigger cam (240-260s seem to be the norm) into the ls2 as well as possibly a nice new crank.
but thats what i'd do.
the LS2 block is a nice piece of work and definitely capable, from what we've seen so far, of handling a very decent amount of power. It's got an increased oil flow and if im not mistaken thicker cylinder walls.

... yes the ls6 had the sodium filled valves (which is a plus), the ls2 ones that even though they are still a 243 casting they no longer sport the same valves.
