Default Kuhmo vs. Goodyear question.....

2001 Z06

Stock, front tire is obviously 265 40 17

Kuhmo Ecsta mx only comes in a 275 40 17.

How much taller would this be than the stock F1's @ 265 40 17's ???

Would it look to ridiculous to run the Escta rears @ 295 35 18's and run the Ecsta fronts @ 275 40 17's

Anyone done this ?? pics ??

Thanks for your time...

Bubba.

Most folks do the 275 deal, I went with the 255/40. The sidewall looks great, it sticks like glue, turn-in is excellent as well. The primary reason I did this was to preserve the 1" front to rear difference the stock C5 combo has.

www.tirerack.com has all the dimensions for these tires on their web site including: diameter, section width, rpms per mile, etc.

Hmmm. A puzzlement. I just checked and their "specs" section doesn't list section width or rpms per mile for Kumho. It does show diameter though.

I saw that too....

The Goodyear F1 265 40 17 overall diameter is 25.4"

The Kuhmo Ecsta Mx 275 40 17 overall diameter is 25.7"

Doesnt seem like much......

Visually, I wonder if there would be a difference when the kumhos would be mounted ???

Doubt it. The aspect ratio and rim diameter are the same and the 10mm difference in width is not really noticeable.
